Simulator shows high school students dangers of drunk driving

EATON Co., Mich (WLNS) – The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office and officials from State Farm Insurance showed off a new driving simulator today.

They’ll be taking it to local high schools to let students get a taste of what driving dangers are out there.

“This gives students a chance to sit down in a controlled environment and see how dangerous it is to do things liking texting and driving, distractive driving with your friends, drinking and driving,” explained Mike Otto of State Farm Insurance.

There’s a good reason for your kids to learn about these dangers: car crashes are the Number One cause of death for teenagers.
