UPDATE: Morning fire damages DeWitt Township house

UPDATE 8:35 a.m. – Fire investigators in DeWitt Township now believe this morning’s fire started in the driveway, possibly inside one of the vehicles. There was an explosion that spread flames to the garage and then to the home.

Five people were inside the house but all escaped with no injuries.

Fire crews are still looking for a family pet.

Original Story: DEWITT TWP., Mich (WLNS) – We’re following a developing situation right now in Clinton county where fire crews are on the scene of a house fire.

It started around 6:30 this morning at a home on the 1100 block of West Round Lake Drive in DeWitt Township.

It’s not known what caused the fire or if anyone was in the house when the fire began.

This story will continue to develop and we’ll have updates online and on 6 News.
