South Lansing credit union robbed, search on for suspect

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Lansing Police are searching for a suspect in the robbery of a south Lansing credit union Thursday afternoon.

Police tell 6 News around 1:53 p.m. Thursday a man walked into the Lake Trust Credit Union in the 6400 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue, demanded money and claimed he had a weapon.

The man left with money and police say he may have gotten into an older burgundy Impala.

Police describe the suspect as a black man, 5’8″ and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a striped red polo-style shirt, blue jeans and a baseball hat.

Officers flooded the area surrounding the credit union, but were unable to locate the suspect.
