LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – Governor Snyder is wrapping up his weeklong international trip with a stop in the Netherlands.
Snyder spent his final day abroad visiting with officials from the Dutch government and a group of educators. He spent the day pitching the groups on the value of keeping strong relationships between Michigan and the Dutch.
“One-on-one meetings with decision-makers are vitally important in a competitive global marketplace,” said Gov. Snyder.
Snyder and his delegation visited the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, where they discussed water technology, aerospace, advanced materials, and Dutch-U.S. economic relations.
Thursday Snyder and the Michigan delegation were in Italy where they visited the Brembo headquarters in Stezzano, located in the province of Bergamo. Brembo manufactures brakes for the auto industry.
The company is building a new castings facility in Homer which, when completed, will add about 250 new jobs to the community.
