HOWELL, MI (WLNS) – It’s no secret that there are a lot of generous people here in mid-Michigan.

But if you want some proof, you don’t need to look any further than at Howell High School.

That’s because for this entire week the school held its annual Senior Survivor fundraiser.

This year students raised money for Stiggy’s Dogs which is a non-profit organization that rescues and trains shelter dogs to be service dogs for veterans that suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

In just five days the students raised more than $56,000 for the organization.
