(WLNS) – With billions of video views per day Snapchat has become one of the most popular apps among younger generations.
One of the picture taking app’s filter features has now landed them in legal trouble.
Back in 2015, 18-year-old Christal McGee was using the app while she was driving her car and used a filter that shows how fast her car was moving.
She was going 107 miles-per-hour in a 45 speed zone when she crashed into an SUV.
McGee and her lawyers say Snapchat is at fault because the filter encourages dangerous driving.
However, Snapchat does include an on screen warning to not snap and drive.
