“Virtual Crim” to roll out online

FLINT, Mich. (WLNS)- This year, you won’t need to be in Flint to be part of the popular Crim road race event, organizers of the annual summer race say.

Our media partners at Mlive report that the new “Virtual Crim” will let people show support, run or walk 5, 8; or 10 kilometers; or even make a donation.

Those who donate $50 or more get an “I Crim for Flint” T-shirt. You can also create virtual teams and compete for the top spot in your fundraising efforts for the August 25-27 races.

The Crim fitness foundation says it’s hoping to increase participation from Flint residents in the races as the city faces a crises with lead-tainted water.
