Teen sentenced for role in armed robbery, shooting

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – An 18-year-old man has been sentenced to a minimum of 10 years behind bars after a break in that led to a shooting in November 2015.

It happened in the 400 block of Pinewood near Everett High School.

Antonio Thompson, one of several teens involved pleaded guilty in March to one count of armed robbery and one felony firearms charge stemming from the incident.

Judge James Jamo sentenced Thompson to two years for the felony firearms charges and eight – 17 and a half years for armed robbery.

Thompson’s sentence will be served consecutively, meaning the minimum time the 18-year-old will spend behind bars is 10 years and a maximum of 19 and a half years.
