LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – A group of lawmakers along with Michigan First Lady Sue Snyder will hold a news conference Wednesday to address the problem of sexual violence and assault in the state.

The bipartisan group will gather at the Capitol Building to discuss the impact and the most effective strategies to fight it.

They say putting an end to sexual violence will require addressing its root causes and a change in culture.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month as well as Campus Assault Awareness Month.
