1 injured in car-truck collision in Eaton County

EATON CO., Mich (WLNS) – A Sunfield man is hospitalized today after the car he was driving collided with a semi-truck in Eaton County.

According to Eaton County Sheriff’s Office investigators the 20-year-old man was driving on M-43 just east of M-50 in Sunfield Township just after 7:30 a.m.

They tell 6 News that the 2001 Oldsmobile Alero he was driving apparently crossed the center line into the path of an eastbound semi-truck.

The driver of the car was treated at the scene and then airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital.

His injuries, according to the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office, are considered life threatening.

The semi-truck driver was not injured.
