JACKSON CO., Mich (WLNS) – Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies and the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team combined to arrest a suspect in connection with a convenience store robbery last week.

Jackson County Sheriff Steve Rand said the suspect was also wanted in a JNET felony narcotics-related investigation in addition to the robbery of the Vandercook Convenience Store last Wednesday.

During that robbery the suspect claimed he had a weapon, grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and ran out of store. No one was injured.

The suspect is a 29-year-old Vandercook Lake man and he is expected to be arraigned on the felony charges today.

Sheriff Rand praised the work done by the investigators to quickly identify the suspect and make the arrest.
