Ingham County holds Amnesty Program through the month of April

INGHAM COUNTY, Mich. (WLNS) – A special program from the Ingham County courts is offering people a way to take care of their unpaid court fees and avoid getting arrested.

It’s an Amnesty Program for people who are willing to come in and meet with collections employees.

In exchange the courts will cancel any bench warrants out for that person because they didn’t pay fines and costs.

There’s a chance late fees can also be removed.

At 54-A and 54-B District Courts qualified people who pay in full online will get a 20 percent discount on what they owe.

The Amnesty Program ends on April 30th.

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
