Hillsdale College not closing down: April Fools’ Prank causes confusion

HILLSDALE, Mich. (WLNS) – An April Fools’ prank between rival colleges is causing some lingering headaches.

Hillsdale College is busy reassuring students, families and donors that it isn’t closing down.

Albion College ran a tongue-in-cheek story on April Fools’ Day saying Hillsdale was closing its doors.

Hillsdale officials say they know it was just for laughs but they have had to clarify for their supporters and at least one prospective student that it was a joke.

The article has been removed from the website of Albion’s newspaper.
