Chevrolet and Lansing Lugnuts team up

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – With Opening Day for the new baseball season here the Lansing Lugnuts are announcing a new teammate.

Chevrolet is now sponsoring The Chevrolet Terrace, located in the east end of the Outfield building at Cooley Law School Stadium.

The area will be used for group outings and can hold up to 2,000 guests in a pavilion setting.

The Lugnuts have partnered with General Motors since 1996.

Lansing Regional Plant manager Mike Trevorrow says adding the Chevrolet Terrace is a way to thank the Lansing community and show hometown pride.

The Lugnuts would have begun their season tonight with the annual Crosstown Showdown against the Michigan State Spartans but the game has been cancelled due to bad weather.
