MASON, Mich (WLNS) – It’s “graduation day” for the largest class of the 55th District Court’s Sobriety Court program in Ingham County.
The members of the 39th class are earning a fresh start in their lives by returning to being productive citizens.
“We are very proud of our program, our participants, and of the community support we consistently receive,” said 55th District Court Judge Donald Allen.
Since the Sobriety Court started in 2004 81 percent of its graduates have not been arrested again and 93 percent haven’t been convicted of new drug or alcohol charges.
Today’s class brings the total number of graduates up to 490 since 2004.
The graduation ceremony begins at 3:00 p.m. at the Mason City Hall.
