Spoilage concerns cause recall of Gerber food products

COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Gerber has announced a voluntary recall of specific Organic 2nd Food pouch products after a packaging defect could result in spoilage during transportation.

In some cases, consumers have noticed bloated pouches and the product may have an off taste or odor.

According to Gerber, the recall includes the following products:

GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches –Pears, Carrots & Peas, 3.5 ounce pouch UPC 15000074319

The products were distributed at U.S. retailers nationwide and through on-line stores. Consumers who purchased pouches with the above UPCs, batch codes and expiration dates are encouraged to contact the Gerber Parents Resource Center at 1-800-706-0556 anytime day or night for a replacement coupon.
