Ramp reopens after semi-truck accident in Eaton Co.

UPDATE (4:37 p.m.) – I-496 and Creyts Rd. is back open in Delta Twp is back open.

(EATON CO., Mich.) – 12:20 p.m. – If you are near the I-496 and Creyts Road in Eaton County you should be aware of a traffic problem in the area.

A semi-truck carrying a load of lumber is disabled on the southbound entrance ramp to westbound I-496 at Creyts Road.

The driver tells Eaton County Sheriff’s deputies that when she turned onto the entrance ramp an axle broke on her trailer and the load shifted.

The entrance ramp is shut down and drivers should avoid the area until further notice.
