Everett Vikings out of state tournament after 60-48 loss to North Farmington Raiders

EAST LANSING, MI (WLNS) – The Everett Vikings boys’ basketball team is out of the state tournament after losing to the North Farmington Raiders Friday.

In the first quarter the Vikings scored 9 points while the Raiders scored 11. The pattern of the Raiders ahead and the Vikings behind in scoring went on until the final buzzer ensured the win for the Raiders.

Fans at the Breslin are disappointed after the loss, but say they’re happy and proud the team made it as far as they did in the tournament after a rough start to the season.

Now fans are looking forward to next year and hoping the Vikings will make it to the state tournament.

“We’re hopeful for next year. They had a good team, they have a young team. They should be able to make their way back,” said Reggie Anderson, Vikings fan.

The Raiders will play UD-J at noon Saturday.
