LANSING, Mich.(WLNS)- “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” hit theaters across the country Thursday evening.

Back here at home, fans couldn’t wait to catch a glimpse of Michigan State University’s Broad Art Museum on the big screen.

“They knocked it out of the park they really did it was a great movie,” said movie attendant Alan Vasquez.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”. The reviews are in for one of the year’s biggest blockbusters.

“The action sequences were great it ended on a sad note but I’m excited for the next one, said Vasquez.”

“While these two superheroes were the main attraction of tonight’s premiere there were local faces as well as landmarks you might recognize.”

“I’m really proud that my city is going to be a part of a multi-billion dollar movie, said movie attendant Jeff Davis.

While making a small cameo in the film, Michigan State University’s Kevin Epling played a vital role in bringing the film to the iconic Broad Art Museum on the campus of Michigan State University.

“To have a building like the board art museum Broad Art Museum, it’s not that hard. We have a beautiful work of art building that holds art and now can be seen as a different piece in another form of art,” said Epling.

Epling’s proudest accomplishment is getting MSU students involved in the filmmaking process.

“We had students working on security and costumes and makeup and on the assistant director’s team so that was a great learning experience for them,” said Epling.

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow also plays a small role in the film.

It’s something she will never forget and believes the film will have a lasting influence on Michigan’s economy.

“All of the set work that was done, it’s incredible. All of the work that was done by skilled trades in Michigan, as well the efforts in catering and driving equipment and so on it’s a lot of jobs,” said Sen. Stabenow.

At the end of the day it looks like “Batman v Superman” is a win-win for everyone in mid-Michigan.

“I think if you’re a comic book fan you’re going to love the movie. There are a lot of twists and turns you’re really going to enjoy,” said Davis.
