Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero to deliver 11th State of the City address

LANSING, MI. (WLNS) – President Obama gave his final State of the Union speech this year, Governor Rick Snyder delivered an apologetic State of the State and Tuesday night it’s Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero’s turn.

That speech will be streamed live online through the city’s website beginning at 7:00 p.m. as the mayor speaks from the Niowave radio-isotope production facility.

Niowave is considered a successful business and that’s the focus of the mayor’s speech.

He wants Lansing to continue accelerating and to become a major mid-western metropolis.

This will be the mayor’s 11th State of the City speech and tonight he plans to highlight the achievements of his administration over the last year and talk about his plans for Lansing this year.

The public is welcome to attend and even take tours of the Niowave facility.

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
