Democratic U.S. Reps say Gov. Snyder not cooperating with Flint investigation

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – In a detailed letter to Governor Snyder Wednesday, Democratic Congressman Elijah E. Cummings (Maryland) and Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence (Michigan) say 15 people are not cooperating with the Flint investigation.

These 15 people are current and former Michigan employees who U.S. Reps Cummings and Lawrence say “refused to comply with requests from Congress to participate in transcribed interviews and to produce documents in their possession relating to the Flint water crisis.”

The letter goes on to say, “Their refusals directly contradict your multiple promises of transparency and accountability to the people of Flint, and they obstruct the ability of Congress to adequately investigate this crisis.”

Among the 15 current and former employees listed are:

Office of the Governor

1) Dennis Muchmore, Chief of Staff, Office of the Governor
