JACKSON, MI. (WLNS) – City officials are looking ahead into the future of the Jackson Fairgrounds and it’s a bright one.
A master plan for the grounds would cost more than $26 million in new buildings and improvements.
That money would go towards building a $30,000 event center along the Grand River, new barns with a horse arena and livestock facilities.
The money would also create a new Grand River Park with a stage, boat launch and improvements to the Herman Gumper Building.
Updating current infrastructure is also a part of the master plan.
Those involved with the projects say that there is a lot of flexibility to change the plans.
