Woman, 23, shot in Lansing; suspect sought

LANSING, MI. (WLNS) – Lansing police are looking for the man who they say shot a woman Thursday night.

Officers were called to the scene near the intersection of Cawood and West Oakland Road around 8:30p.m.

That’s where police say they found a 23-year-old woman with a gunshot wound.

The woman told police she was out walking her dog when she was approached by two men.

They demanded her phone and when she walked away she tells police she was shot.

The man police are looking for is described as black, about 20-years-old and was last seen wearing black sweat pants and a grey hoodie.

The woman was taken to a local hospital and she is expected to survive.
