Witnesses: Fight led to overnight shooting in Jackson

JACKSON, Mich (WLNS) – An overnight shooting has left one man in critical condition and police searching for suspects.

Jackson Police tell 6 News that just before 12:30 a.m. today they were called to the 100 block of W. Mansion Street after people called 911 with reports of shots being fired in the area.

When they arrived they found a 19-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper and lower torso.

He was taken to Allegiance Hospital where he is now listed in critical condition.

Police investigators say witnesses said they say two people arguing just before the shots were fired.

After the shots were heard witnesses say one person ran from the area and got in a silver vehicle near the intersection of Kent and Mansion Street.
