Teens behind bars after alleged home break-in

SUMMIT TOWNSHIP, MI. (WLNS) – Two 18-year-olds are sitting behind bars in Jackson after being accused of burglary.

It all happened on Kathmar Drive in Summit Township on Monday.

That’s when the homeowner came home and noticed her house was ransacked and money and alcohol were stolen.

Jackson County Sheriff Steve Rand says the women were arrested because of a tip from a neighbor who noticed suspicious behavior.

The investigation continues and the teens are waiting to be charged.
