City Attorney Janene McIntyre leaving her position

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – After a leave of absence that started in January, city attorney Janene McIntyre has decided to leave Lansing.

Mayor Virg Bernero says she is pursuing other opportunities.

McIntyre said, “I believe Lansing is headed in the right direction, and I am glad to have played a role in getting it on the road. Lansing will always hold a special place in my heart.”

McIntyre will be paid about $160,000 for the rest of her contract which ends on Dec. 31, 2016.
