(WLNS) — The Michigan Alliance for Lead Safe Homes says, 787 Michigan children under 6 years old were diagnosed with lead poisoning in 2012.
Today members from all across the state met in Lansing to bring their fight for lead eradication to the Capitol.
Members started in the Senate Building Wednesday morning, then planned to break into smaller groups and meet with legislators throughout the day.
Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley is backing their efforts saying, “I’m excited to work with the coalition about how we can really build an agenda to take the work that is done in the past and then take it to the next level.”
