LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – There is a call today for Gov. Rick Snyder to resign as more details surface from emails released by his office.
House Democratic leader Tim Greimel of Auburn Hills today said he has given serious thought to the recent developments and sees Snyder’s resignation being in the best interests of the people of Michigan.
“Given the actions of negligence and indifference by the governor, and a culture he has created that lacks transparency and accountability, the very serious call for resignation is warranted,” said Rep. Greimel.
The lawmaker claims the governor has created a culture that lacks accountability and is obsessed with “passing the buck”.
He goes on to claim that the culture is “so pervasive that for months, the problem was allowed to continue, even to the point of ignoring scientific evidence that the crisis had potentially grown to a fatal level.”
There has been no response from the governor to Rep. Geimel’s call for resignation.
