At least 30 people sick with illness linked to the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) –  New developments on recent reports of a mystery illness linked to the Kellogg Center in East Lansing.

The Ingham county Health Department has now confirmed at least 30 people who visited the Kellogg Center between February 16th and 21st are sick with gastro-intestinal symptoms.

It all started when a number of people fell sick while attending an event at the Kellogg Center on the MSU campus last week.

They then reported the problem to m-s-u who contacted the Ingham County Health Department to help in the investigation.

Michigan State University still isn’t sure on the exact cause of the illnesses but as a precaution the kitchens at Kellogg are closed right now for a cleaning.

That means food service for events are being catered and the state restaurant is shut  down until further notice.

If you did visit the Kellogg Center late last week and are feeling sick the Ingham County Health Department urges you to contact them immediately at 517-887-4310.
