One person in serious condition, another in critical after head-on car crash

UPDATE (3:57 p.m.) – One person is in serious condition and another in critical after a head-on accident in Eaton Co. earlier Friday. 6 News will continue to provide updates when they are available.

EATON CO., Mich (WLNS) – Two people were injured Friday morning in a head-on collision on Royston Road near Steele Highway in Hamlin Township.

The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office tells 6 News that a car and a minivan were the only vehicles involved in the 7:00 a.m. crash.

The condition of the drivers is not known other than the injuries are, according to the Sheriff’s Office, potentially life-threatening.

It is not known at this time what led to the accident and investigators are still on the scene.

Royston Road will be closed while that investigation continues.

The names of the drivers involved will not be released until the families have been notified.
