New election drop box helps absentee voters cast ballot

LANSING, MI. (WLNS) – The presidential election is close and the presidential primary is even closer.

The city of Lansing is giving residents a way to cast their absentee ballots 24 hours a day.

A new election drop box has been installed at City Hall in downtown Lansing allowing absentee ballots to be delivered without the cost of postage.

Another drop box is available at the city office on South Washington.

City Clerk Chris Swope says it is not too late to get an absentee ballot before the March 8th election.
