Shooting breaks out at a Muskegon Heights high school basketball game

Muskegon Heights, MI. (WLNS) – Police in Muskegon County are investigating a shooting outside a local high school basketball game Tuesday night that sent four people to the hospital.

The high school is located in Muskegon Heights which is on the west side of the state.

According to Police Chief Joseph Thomas Junior two men and two women were shot around 9:30 p.m.

One of the men is the accused shooter and was shot by a police office.

The chief says officers are now searching for three other men they believe were with the shooter at the time.

The police department got a tip ahead of time that a previous disagreement could turn into a confrontation at the basketball game.

Everyone is expected to survive their injuries.
