UPDATE: Search over; Homicide suspect arrested in Hillsdale County

UPDATE 10:31 a.m. – The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office tells 6 News that 29-year-old Steven Swan has been arrested and is currently in the county jail.

This story is still developing and details of how he was arrested will be released later today.

HILLSDALE COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a homicide suspect who they say has failed to meet with officials previously.

According to the sheriff’s office, 29-year-old Steven Francis Swan has lived at multiple Jonesville area addresses recently.

A felony warrant has been issued for Swan’s arrest. He is a suspect in the death of a 67-year-old man on January 9, 2016.

Swan is charged with one count of homicide-manslaughter/involuntary, which is a 15 year felony.

If you have any information about Swan’s location, you’re asked to call 911.
