SUMMIT TOWNSHIP, MI. (WLNS) – Three people are recovering after a rollover crash in Jackson County.

Emergency crews raced to the scene in Summit Township Wednesday afternoon.

According to our media partners at the Jackson Citizen Patriot, an SUV carrying four juveniles and another with just one passenger crashed along a curve on Wickwire Road.

Sheriff’s officials say a 17-year-old was behind the wheel of one of those trucks heading west down Wickwire.

A woman was driving the second vehicle east when they hit each other.

The truck carrying the four minors, rolled and both of them were taken to the hospital but were later released to their parents.

The woman driving the second SUV had to be cut from the wreckage.

There’s no update on the woman’s condition at this time.

It’s not clear if speed was factor.
