WATCH: Habitat for Humanity Capital Region house build in 4:12

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – The project to build a Habitat for Humanity-Capital Region home began in spring of last year.

The women of 6 News were enthusiastic in their support of the plan and backed it up with hours of work on the job site.

More than 400 professionals and volunteers joined in and the plan began to become reality.

As the end of the year neared a family was putting in their “sweat equity” on the interior and were getting ready to move in.

A red letter day came on February 1 when the Bond family took the keys and became the proud owners of their Habitat home.

They’ll move in next month after some more details (isn’t that always the way it goes during a move?) are tended to.

Watch the time lapse video of the construction and see the house being constructed in four minutes and 12 seconds!
