Skubick: Poll finds Snyder approval plummets in Flint water wake

WASHINGTON, DC (WLNS) – Another statewide poll is out suggesting 66 percent of the citizens disapprove of how Governor Rick Snyder has handled the Flint water crisis.

Despite all of his apologies, despite tons of bottled water, the distribution of water filters and more testing of kids and adults who drank lead contaminated river water

Governor Rick Snyder continues to take a pounding in the media and now another statewide survey indicates, 66 percent tell Mitchell research they disapprove of his performance on the Flint water crisis.

The Bernie Porn EPIC-MRA survey last week indicated a racial and political party divide on the governor’s performance and the Mitchell numbers confirm that.

Snyder Approval Flint Crisis

  1. 35 percent of whites approve
  2. 7 percent of African-Americans approve
  3. 52 percent Republicans approve
  4. 6 percent Democrats approve

While the Democrats and others point the guilty finger at the governor the polling results reveal 51 percent blame his Department of Environmental Quality, whose former director Dan Wyant resigned last year, 34 percent blame the Obama administration’s EPA while 15 percent hold the city of Flint accountable.

The governor’s lowest marks come in Detroit where 18 percent approve of his conduct on the crisis and he gets 22 percent approval in Lansing, Jackson and mid-Michigan.

The governor next week will propose spending $30 Million to pay for water bills that Flint residents refuse to pay.
