Jackson students will help feed thousands in Liberia

JACKSON, MI. (WLNS) – A group of kids in Jackson will be fighting hunger in an African country.

On Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon, students of Trinity Lutheran School will assemble nutrient dense meals to ship to Liberia, which is plagued by poverty and food shortages.

The students raised funds for the cause hoping to provide 3,000 meals but the effort was more successful than they expected and enough money was raised for more than 14,000 meals.
