Two Michigan DEQ employees suspended in Flint water crisis

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Governor Rick Snyder says action was taken Friday against two Michigan Department of Environmental Quality employees related to the Flint water crisis.

“Some DEQ actions lacked common sense and that resulted in this terrible tragedy in Flint. I look forward to the results of the investigation to ensure these mistakes don’t happen again,” said Governor Rick Snyder.

Two employees have been suspended and an investigation is pending.
