Car hits tree in an early morning crash

LANSING, MI. (WLNS) – Lansing police are investigating an early morning accident where a car slammed into a tree, but that tree may have stopped it from going into a house.

The accident happened shortly before 3:00 a.m. on the 600 block of Armstrong Road near Cedar Street on the south side of town.

The car was heavily damaged.

Our 6 News crew on the scene says the driver was standing and talking to police and no ambulance was seen.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
