Ingham County working to bring back an old veterans tradition

MASON, MI. (WLNS) – A group in Ingham County wants to bring an annual tradition back.

They’d like to honor veterans and their contributions to the community by reforming the Ingham County Veterans Parade Committee.

The first meeting of that committee will take place Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the VFW Post 7309 on Hull Road in Mason.

All veterans, community members and local organizations are invited.

The committee plans to reinstitute the county’s Veterans Day Parade and will meet on the third Tuesday of every month beginning in March to make that happen.
