Class action lawsuits being filed in the Flint Water Crisis

FLINT, MI. (WLNS) – A news conference Tuesday will announce two lawsuits being filed against local and state-level departments and officials, including Governor Rick Snyder for their roles in the Flint Water Crisis.

The class action suits have been filed by Flint residents in the Michigan Court of Claims and Genessee County Circuit Court.

Other people and entities named in the suits include two former Flint emergency managers, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, the Department of Health and Human Services and Genesee County.

They cite personal injury and physical damage caused by the lead-tainted water.

The plaintiffs and their legal teams will attend the meeting to announce the lawsuits at the University of Michigan Flint.
