One man safe after electrical house fire

PERRY, MI (WLNS) – Multiple fire departments were on scene to fight a house fire Wednesday evening.

It happened around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of W. Haslett Road in Perry.

Haslett Road was closed at Corey on the west and Morrice on the east while fire officials worked to get the fire under control.

There was one man home who made it out safely.

Officials say the fire was electrical. Fire crews had to take out an exterior wall on one side.

Dansville, Leroy Twp., Perry and Williamston Fire Departments were all on scene to help. Ingham County and Meridian Twp. heavy rescue were also on scene.

Officials say the house is not livable at this time.
