Gas prices holding steady following holiday season

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – If you’re looking for a break after the holiday shopping season, gas prices will not burn a hole in your wallet.

According to GasBuddy.com, Michigan drivers are paying an average of $1.94 for a gallon of regular.

Lansing drivers are paying a little less at $1.93. Some stations are still in the $1.77 – $1.79 range while others are as high as $1.99.

The current national average is higher at $2.00.

In Jackson, drivers are paying an average of $1.96.

One year ago Lansing drivers were paying an average of $2.03 for a gallon of regular. Two years ago drivers were paying an average of $3.30 per gallon.
