Bond set for man accused of shooting during family party


(WLNS) – Bond has been set for a man accused of shooting at his family during a party over the weekend.

26-year-old Hakeem Blackwell is being held on $500,000 cash bond in connection with the shooting Friday night in Eaton County.

Sheriff’s deputies tell 6 News that they were called to the home on West Street in Delta Township.

They were told Blackwell was assaulting his girlfriend at the party and when family members tried to intervene he began shooting.

Blackwell was arraigned today on two counts of assault with intent to murder, one count assault with a dangerous weapon, felony firearm, domestic violence and three counts of misdemeanor assault.

He will be back in court next week.
