MSU alum celebrating Cotton Bowl in Spartan tux

BELDING, MI (WLNS) – It’s been said that once you’re a Spartan, you always bleed green and white. That’s the case for a Belding man who won a Spartan tuxedo.

Tom Humphreys, an MSU alumnus and his family are true Spartan fans. The family recently entered an ESPN contest to win a Spartan tuxedo.

In the drawing, Tom’s daughter Lydia won the Spartan green tuxedo. Lydia is a current MSU freshman, following in her parents and older sister’s footsteps.

The tuxedo is one of 10 created by Generation Tux. To celebrate the Cotton Bowl and the Orange Bowl, Generation Tux made 10 tuxedos for each of the four teams vying for a spot in the National Championship.

Tom says he’s been invited to several Cotton Bowl watch parties and plans to make the rounds Thursday evening.

Two of Tom and his wife Ingrid’s three daughters have already requested that he wear the Spartan tux when he walks them down the aisle.
