Lansing Fire Department investigating suspicious fire

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – The Lansing Fire Marshall says a fire Tuesday has been ruled as suspicious.

It happened around 12:10 p.m. in the 4700 block of Kessler, near Jolly on the Southside of Lansing.

The Lansing Fire Department told 6 News the fire started in the basement and spread upstairs into the single story home.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no pets were living in the home.

The Lansing Police Department was on scene to block streets while fire officials worked to put out the flames.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
