Four area business incubators gets cash boost from LEAP

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – Earlier this year local business incubators were asked to submit applications for grant money from the Lansing Economic Area Partnership.

Today $20,000 in grants were awarded to four incubators.

The money will be used for unique programs, operation costs or equipment purchases.

The Allen Neighborhood Center in Lansing, the Technology Innovation Center in East Lansing, the Fledge in Grand Ledge and the Runway in downtown Lansing each were given $5,000 to help develop entrepreneurial and business startups.

Each of the incubators have different focuses. The Allen Neighborhood Center on Lansing Eastside is agriculture-based while the Technology Innovation Center in East Lansing is tech-based. The Fledge in downtown Grand Ledge is youth-focused and the Runway is a fashion and design incubator.
