(WLNS) — All month long the men of 6 News put the razors down to raise awareness for men’s health as a part of the #NoShaveNovember movement.
Thousands of people participate every year, other Mid-Michigan broadcasters included.
6 News invited 97.5 Now FM’s Josh Strickland to join in on the movement.
The subject of Men’s Health is close to Strickland’s heart, his father passed away earlier this year from a health condition. The loss pushed Strickland go to the doctor himself and get checked out, and it was a good thing he did, it was after that he found he had high blood pressure.
His message to all men is: no matter how much of a bother it is going to the doctor, it’s better to know for sure about possible health issues, and catch them early.
Josh will join the men of 6 News December 1st at After Shave Barbershop in Okemos for a LIVE shave to mark the end of #NoShaveNovember.
