Lansing Community College receives $5.5M from Bill Gates’ foundation

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Out of the thousands of community colleges across the nation Lansing Community College along with 29 other schools has been selected for a national initiative.

The announcement will be made Monday morning on the school’s campus.

Lansing Mayor Virg Benero and LCC officials will be there.

Jackson College was also selected for the program which looks to improve student success and college completion rates.

The initiative is funded through a $5.5 million grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
