(WLNS) – If you get your health coverage through the national exchange you should know prices are going up.
Before you get down about the increase in Michigan, other states have it much worse.
Healthcare costs are rising an average of over seven percent across the country.
Here in Michigan the nearly 300,000 people who pay for coverage through healthcare.gov will only see prices go up about 1.2 percent.
Analysts say that’s because Michigan is a highly competitive market with more than a dozen insurers and roughly 200 plans.
If you need coverage and you want it to start on January 1st, you have from now until December 15th to buy a plan.
